Service Learning
“Participating in service at NDA has been life changing. When I began going on outreach trips, my perspective changed. I realized that I have to use the opportunities I receive to care for those who may not have the same opportunities.”

NDA’s focus on service learning is shaped by the Hallmarks of the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur. We prepare young women to be socially responsible, answering the call for justice and peace in our world. Service learning opportunities occur during school days, on class retreats, and after school. Students partner with local organizations, honoring the dignity and sacredness of each person they serve. Our girls also attend seminars and conferences to learn and share ideas. Through their involvement, students look beyond themselves, grow in empathy, and learn how to make a difference in the world.
All students find a way to participate. Each student typically engages in 15 to 20 hours of service per school year.
