May 3, 2019 Dear Alumnae, Spring is upon us; the perfect time for experiential learning! Our young "women with hearts and minds as wide as the world" traveled as far as China and as close as Cape Cod to experience the world around them. It was a pleasure seeing so many alumnae last weekend at our Annual Reunion. For the first time in several years, Notre Dame hosted all of the reunion classes here on Main Street, rather than at separate locations around town. After a lovely Mass in the Chapel, alumnae proceeded to the NDA gym for a lovely dinner and music. Many remarked that the events were like coming home and evoked warm memories of their time at NDA. If you have not yet done so, please consider a gift to the Fund for NDA as we approach year end. Sincerely, Annemarie Lynch Kenneally '80 P'13 '15
NDA Announces Erin McDonough '82 as 2019 Commencement Speaker
We are pleased to announce Notre Dame Academy's 2019 commencement speaker, Erin McDonough '82. Her connection to NDA comes from not only her years as a student, but also as the niece of Sr. Mary Martina McDonough, SNDdeN who was a long-time faculty member.
Erin is Senior Vice President, Strategic Communication and Chief Communication Officer at Brigham and Women's Hospital. She drives comprehensive communication and marketing activities, advancing the Brigham's mission and bringing stories of inspirational achievements in care, research, education and community partnerships around the world. Prior to joining BWH in 2010, she held senior positions at New England Baptist Hospital, CareGroup and St. Elizabeth's Medical Center. Erin holds a bachelor's degree and MBA from Northeastern University.
Erin has been honored with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Dorchester's New England Women's Leadership Award, which recognizes influential women who have found ways to give back. She was also profiled in the book Boston, Inspirational Women by Bill and Kerry Brett, which features women making a difference in Boston and the world.
We are honored that Erin has agreed to be our 2019 Commencement Speaker and look forward to hearing her words of inspiration.
