Our Approach

Our girls study a wide range of art techniques, art history, and art-making from around the world. They learn through practice, experimentation, and revision in a studio environment.

NDA faculty are educators and artists, sharing their enthusiasm and skills with students.

Visual Arts Courses

Courses are available for artists of all skill levels. Our studios are a great place to take risks and have fun trying something new.

Courses in digital art and media incorporate principles of graphic design, animation, and 3D modeling.
Students learn to work in the Adobe Creative Suite and use 3D modeling CAD software Sketchup.
Ceramic art making is integrated into Introduction to 3D Design and Sculpture.
AP 2D Art and Design, AP 3D Art and Design, and AP Drawing offered for sophomores, juniors, and seniors.
