Alumnae Awards

Each year, Notre Dame Academy honors a number of graduates for their accomplishments. The Academy also periodically confers an award recognizing community members for exemplary service to NDA.

Women of Distinction

This award originated with two ceremonies in 1996 and 1997. Today, graduates are inducted into this group via four avenues:

Distinguished Graduate of the Year Given annually to an alumna who, through significant contribution to community or substantial life achievement in career, lives out the mission of Notre Dame Academy each day.

Outstanding Recent Graduate Awarded each year to a graduate of the last decade ("GOLD") whose selfless contributions to her community and/or alma mater have served as an inspiration and motivation to others.

Alumnae Association Service Award Awarded biennially to an alumna whose dedication and service to her community are a reflection of the spirit of Saint Julie Billiart. Selection is made by an Alumnae Association committee.

Athletics Hall of Fame Inductions are made biennially (alternating years with the Alumnae Association Service Award) to graduates whose athletic achievements while at Notre Dame Academy have left a mark to which others can aspire. Nominees who have distinguished themselves through college and/or other athletics, professional sports, or civic involvement will also be considered, as will coaches and administrators who have contributed significantly to the advancement of athletics at NDA. Selection is made by the Hall of Fame committee.

Friends of the Academy

Honoring our Friends – Just as St. Julie Billiart’s vision for the Sisters of Notre de Namur came to fruition with the support of Francoise Blin de Bourdon, so too, does Notre Dame Academy rely on the generosity of friends to fulfill its mission every day.
