Financial Aid FAQ

Will applying for financial aid affect an applicant's chances of gaining admission to Notre Dame?

No. Notre Dame has a need-blind admissions policy. Admissions decisions are determined by the student's ability to contribute to, and benefit from, the unique community offered at Notre Dame Academy.

How is need determined?

The FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment online program is used to determine the extent of need. Notre Dame Academy's Financial Aid Committee reviews the information provided by the applicant's parents on the financial aid form, tax returns, as well as any unusual circumstances made known to them in writing. Families must reapply for financial aid every year. To start a financial aid application, click here.

How is aid determined for parents who are divorced, separated, or were never married?

The Financial Aid Committee requires that both parents contribute to the cost of education to the extent of their ability. Both the custodial and non-custodial parent must complete the financial aid application process.
