Transportation Information For Accepted Students
With students hailing from Needham to Cape Cod, NDA is truly a regional school.
Students travel from approximately 35 towns each day to attend Notre Dame Academy, and our staff does its best to help coordinate transportation for all students. Each spring, carpool and bus surveys are sent to Notre Dame families to facilitate transportation for the following school year.
Carpooling: Most parents choose to join a carpool, and we have great success with carpooling here at NDA. We have 2 options for forming carpools:
- NDA has partnered with the GoKid Carpooling Application. Please see 'Carpooling at NDA' below for more information.
- A carpool list is compiled from the surveys, and the list is distributed in April to those who request it. It is then up to the families to contact others on the list who live in their area so that carpools may be formed.
Buses: NDA Partners with Ingle Bus Service to provide bus service to and from campus. Please see 'Bus Options' below for more information.
NDA partners with Ingle Bus Service to provide bus service to and from campus. Routes are adjusted annually to be as convenient as possible for as many families as possible. The cost of the bus is also dependent on the demand. The earlier a family expresses interest in the bus, the more likely a convenient option will be established.
In the 2019 - 2020 school year, we are planning on stops in Randolph, Canton, and Milton, South Boston, Braintree, and Dorchester. We are also considering the demand for a South Shore Bus from Plymouth. We are always open to exploring new routes.
