Middle school clubs are important because they let students explore diverse interests in a supportive, structured environment. We hold clubs during the school day to ensure every student can participate. Each year, we develop a new list of clubs specifically for Cuvilly students based on the interests of our girls.
2025-2026 Cuvilly Clubs
Assembly Club: A student-led club where members choose and present on topics they are passionate about. This club helps students build public speaking skills, conduct research, and engage in creative presentations, all while having fun and fostering a supportive community.
Cans for Clean Water: In the spirit of caring for all creation, this club is dedicated to collecting bottles and cans from our school community. We will be cleaning and separating the bottles and cans collected so we can return them for funds that will be donated to the Clean Water for Life Project run by the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur.
Crafting with a Cause: A creative club where arts and crafts meets kindness! From paper angels and pipe cleaner flowers to hand-painted pots, we’ll make all sorts of fun and colorful projects. But the best part? Many of our creations will be donated to brighten the days of those in nursing homes, shelters, and right here in our own community. Come craft, connect, and spread joy — one handmade piece at a time!
French Club: A time to come together to appreciate everything French! We will explore many aspects of French culture. While attention will be focused on French culture, it is important to acknowledge that we will be looking at other francophone, or French speaking, countries throughout the world. Activities include to trivia, Kahoot, films, cooking, and more. No need for knowledge of French to participate. All students are welcome!
Fun & Games Club: This club provides students with a place to connect with their peers on a more social level, while also exercising their brains in different ways. We will play various board and card games, and create our own games to play with friends.
Math Team: Are you an eighth-grade student currently taking Algebra I? The high school math team is looking for enthusiastic members to join us. During club time, we explore fun, challenging, and unique math problems together. Plus, four times a year, we travel to local schools to compete in math meets.
Investment Club: This club provides students with an engaging introduction to financial literacy and the stock market. Using the Stock Market Game, students work in teams to manage a virtual $100,000 portfolio. Throughout the program, we will develop critical thinking, teamwork, and decision-making skills while gaining real-world insight into investing and economics. No prior knowledge required — just a willingness to learn and participate.
Latin Club: Our club is an opportunity to explore all aspects of the ancient Mediterranean world, including languages, history, mythology, daily life, and connections to the modern day. As a part of the Junior Classical League, this club will help students develop leadership, foster community, promote enthusiasm, encourage competition, inspire dedication, and enrich total growth!
LEGO Club: Students take the time to use their imaginations and be creative. Build independently or with a group. Let’s see what you can dream up and bring to life with LEGOs.
Podcasting Club: Ready to share your voice with the world? Join the Podcasting Club where creativity, teamwork, and storytelling come alive! Middle school girls will get hands-on experience writing, recording, and producing podcasts. Guided by two amazing high school mentors you will learn the secrets of sound, how to interview like a pro, and how to make your stories shine. Whether you dream of being behind the mic or working on the tech, this club is your chance to create something powerful, fun, and totally your own!
Showstoppers: We have created our own Broadway and Disney Original Musical Revue with songs and dance numbers from Broadway hits such as Newsies, Into the Woods, Hairspray, Mean Girls, Annie, Beetlejuice and others! We will also sing and dance to fun songs from our favorite Disney movies: Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Hercules, Little Mermaid, and more. No experience is required, and nobody will be forced to sing alone.
Sawubona Sunshine Squad: This squad spreads joy and encouragement through our Cuvilly community. Club members create handmade cards, crafts, and small gifts to celebrate birthdays, holidays, achievements, and special moments. From welcoming new students to cheering up someone who has had a tough week to showing appreciation for teachers and staff. We use our creativity to brighten people’s days. No artistic experience is required — just a willingness to try new things, work as a team, and share kindness through thoughtful creations.
