Liturgy Schedule today, school dismissal at 1:00PM

 

 

Attention ALL: Are you interested in designing a webpage? The robotics team is looking for a student to work on and update the team website. NO Experience is necessary. It is a great way to get involved. If you are interested see Mrs. Parry in Room 330.

Student Council: First meeting of the newly elected Student Council will be Tuesday at 2:20PM in guidance. We will be electing officers and discussing plans for next year. All members must be present.

 

 

 

 

Athletic News

 

Varsity Softball's Megan Barrett threw a one hitter against North Quincy, Wednesday, and Amanda Dole went 3 for 4 , Maggie Norton went 2 for 3 to beat North Quincy 3 -1.

Attention All: Do you study Spanish and want to go to Spain to learn more about the country whose language you are studying? There will be a meeting on May 22 in Room 307, Mrs Martin's room, for Spanish students from the class of 2013 and 2014 who would be interested in a trip to Spain April of 2013. In addition to the Spain trip in 2013, the World Language Department will be running an immersion trip to Costa Rica for its Spanish students. The trip is open to rising sophomores, Juniors, Seniors. An information session will be held on May 22nd at 3:00 in room 306.

Seniors: As you prepare to leave NDA, please make an attempt to return your parking tag to the main office. Juniors hold onto your tags for your senior year!

Yearbook: There will be a yearbook meeting for all interested juniors today in room 139 at 2:30 p.m.

Future Helpers and Healers will meet today in room 223 immediately after school for a year end meeting. Snacks will be provided and it is mandatory for those students who will be remaining in the club in the fall.

Attention Potential and Repeat Fall Athletes: Online registration will close TOMORROW, May 18, 2012 for all potential athletic candidates in the following sports: Cheer, Cross Country, Dance, Field Hockey, Soccer, Swim and Volleyball. Students can access the Player Profile form on the Athletics tab in their portals. This form now incorporates the signature required by students acknowledging compliance with the Student Athletic Handbook. Parents can access the Parent/Guardian Consent (RPPC) Form on the Athletics tab from their parent portal only and also have the ability to electronically sign this form. Athletic News

 

Varsity Softball beat Pembroke High 10 -7

Stephanie Small pitched for her third win this season. Offense was led by Maggie Norton, Carolyn Barrett and Nina Pascarelli 2.

JV Lacrosse: defeated Ursuline Academy 16-7. 

Goals were scored by Cori Craven, Caroline Prescott, Taylor Thorbahn, Jackie Murray and Jill Larrow.

Varsity Lacrosse: hosted Ursuline for our last regular season home game. On Senior Day, NDA won 18-8. We honored our seniors, Meghan Dorsey, Caroline Rizzo and Madison Caron. These three have compiled a 57-12-5 record over the past four years. Their leadership and hard work have led this team to a record of 17-1.

JV Tennis: defeated Duxbury 5-0.

Winners in singles matches were Savery Meurer, Alyssa Golz and Jenna McKenney. Doubles teams of Haley Gaudreau and Shannon Benoit, as well as Carly McCarthy and Caroline Kenneally defeated their opponents.

Track and Field: NDA won the 24th Annual Girls Catholic Conference Track & Field Championship. Shauna Owen set two school records. Marypat Henry, Kaleigh Erickson, Isabella Dimare, Amanda Reilly, Kelsey Whitaker, Erin Hanley and Elizabeth Tevnan each won their individual events. Relay Team of Isabella DiMare, Amanda Reilly, Ali Balcom, Tori Kenyon, as well as the team of Shauna Owen, Kelsey Whitaker, Marypat Henry, Kaleigh Erickson also won their events. Great job to all!

Athletic News

 

Varsity Lacrosse: beat Bishop Stang 19-2 and is now 16-1 with 3 games left to play in the regular season. Twelve players scored goals including Catherine McAuley and Becca Quillard who recorded their first varsity goals of the season! Defense was solid allowing 2 goals on only 5 shots.
